The new building marks the northern entrance to the town in a striking way. The main entrance is orientated directly towards the connecting road. The building's architecture is characterised by its shape, which is arranged around two spacious inner courtyards. This creates a variety of pathways, visual and spatial relationships that allow the various departments to be appropriately located. By inserting the centre zones, the building also has a flexibly configurable area which, in addition to the special areas, also allows openings between the corridors of the individual departments and thus creates informal meeting zones. The central communication and access zone is formed by the main staircase, which is directly adjacent to the entrance area and connects all floors via a cascading staircase that is naturally lit by skylights.
