“Culture eats strategy for breakfast.” is a famous quote from the US economist Peter Drucker. In simple terms, it means that the culture of a company determines its success, regardless of how effective the strategy may be. With this statement, Drucker pointed out the importance of the human factor in companies and that projects will fail if the people implementing them have not internalized the right culture. Ultimately, it is the people who make the difference. The team must be convinced of a company’s vision. Otherwise, even strategy has no chance. Corporate culture and team culture represent the DNA of sehw and are a decisive factor for long-term success.
“Culture is the habitat in which strategy lives or dies.”
