A house for the neighborhood

The new building is characterized by a clear spatial structure that unites the different usage groups - youth theatre workshop, senior citizens' club and district café - in three different parts of the building. The design responds cleverly to the neighboring buildings and integrates harmoniously into the urban space, especially by staggering the volume to the southwest. The inviting entrance area is transparent and central, making it easy to find your way around the building. The foyer acts as a connecting axis and allows flexible usage options for both the senior citizens' club and the district café. The rooms can be combined as required. The area around the district café and the foyer also enlivens the public space and creates an inviting atmosphere.
